Love Letter

Love Letter is an early functional demo of a visual novel/dating simulator where you play as the new mail carrier who just moved into the little town of Primrose Springs! Your goal is to deliver mail and grow some relationships with the townies!
This is a project begun in the Summer (and Offically in the Fall) of 2025 as a capestone for my BFA in Illustration at the Cleveland institute of art.

About This Game:

After months of job searching to no avail, you finally managed to land a job from a gal named Bea Valentine, a small town mail carrier out in Primrose Springs, a place in the middle of nowhere! Desperate to clean your wallet of cobwebs, you pack up your things and leave all you’ve known behind for a brand new start!Your goal is to deliver mail, but the warm-welcoming residents and charming unique personalities have drawn your attention as well—a bit of love may be just what you need to make this place feel like home. Can you stay on task and fall in love?

Alpha 0.1 Demo: FOR PC and MacOS ONLY!

Below is a list of current bugs and issues that plan to be addressed:
1. Misalignment of nametags (Miranda’s is lower than the rest).
Gallery and Inventory are not functional.
2. Mini Game softlocks if you try to reload a save made before/during the mini game as long as you’ve partially or fully completed it.
3. Letters and baskets are not visible on mini game screen while Bea is explaining it.
4. Currently there is placeholder sketches of backgrounds & sprites present in this build.
5. Textbox sizing needs to be readjusted.

How to Play Instructions:

1. Download the correct file (pc or mac) based on your system from the google drive linked below on the button titled "Download Here!".
2. Locate the zip file titled "LoveLetter-Alpha0.1-(system).zip".
3. Right click and press "Extract All".
4. Open the "Love Letter" Application (the one with an icon of a pink haired anime girl).
5. Enjoy! You've finished set up and can now play Love Letter!
